See where your class is lost — before the exam does.
Put your own questions into BioPath, the study app that feels like a feed. Your students practise a few minutes at a time; you see, topic by topic, what most of them are getting wrong.
Free during the pilot. Accounts are approved by hand.
Share of students below the pass mark
- Cellular respiration Needs attention 69%
- Photosynthesis 52%
- Membrane transport 35%
- Cell structure 20%
Three steps, and none of them is a new system to learn.
1. Add your questions
Multiple choice, true/false and fill-in-the-blank, grouped by the topics you teach. Type them in, or import the spreadsheet you already have.
2. Share a join code
Students open BioPath, go to Settings → My Classes, and type eight characters. No accounts to create, no roster to upload, no names collected.
3. See what to re-teach
Your questions appear in their feed. As they answer, you see which topics most of the class is missing — and which wrong answer they keep choosing.
A class rarely falls behind all at once.
It falls behind a topic at a time — and the first sign is usually a midterm, when it is late to do much about it. Short, frequent practice gives you that signal weeks earlier, while there is still a lecture left to spend on it.
- Topics flagged for you. A topic is marked when more than 60% of the students who tried it are below your pass mark.
- The wrong answer they chose. Every multiple-choice question shows how the class split, so you know which misconception to address.
- Private for students. They join without an account. You see the class as a whole; nobody's individual answers are shown.
- Where they already study. Your questions sit in a “Class” feed beside the app's own, with your explanation after every answer.
What instructors ask first.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing while we are in pilot, for you or your students. BioPath itself is free to download.
- What do students need?
- BioPath on an iPhone or iPad, and your join code. They do not create an account, and we never ask for a name, an email address or a student number.
- Can I see how an individual student is doing?
- No — and that is by design. Students join anonymously, so the results are about the class: how many are below your pass mark on each topic, and how each question was answered. Nothing identifies who gave which answer.
- Can I use it for marks?
- It is built for practice, not assessment. The app marks each answer on the phone and shows your explanation straight away, which is what makes it useful to study with and unsuitable as a secure test.
- Which subjects?
- Classes run inside BioPath, our biology app, today. If you teach chemistry, physics, math or law and would use this, tell us — that is how we decide what to build next.
